New Zealand

Hauled, as Maori legend says from the ocean depths like a huge fish, the islands of New Zealand are dramatic in their diversity. The lush North Island brings forth vibrant cities that stand shoulder to shoulder with ancient volcanoes and colourful Maori heritage. Effervescent pools of rich mud bubbling alongside steaming geysers, glorious beaches, lush rainforest and rolling hills complete the picture. The South Island is rugged and wild with soaring mountain ranges, untouched wilderness and glacial lakes, yet here and there pockets of calm prevail with row upon row of undulating vines and tranquil national parks to explore.

Tourism New Zealand asked visitors from the UK to New Zealand how they feel about holidaying in the youngest country on earth. Click here to view Tourism New Zealand's television advert and be inspired.

Whether you want to sail the waters of the Hauraki Gulf in an America’s Cup sailing yacht or swim with dolphins in the Bay of Islands. Become a Maori chief at a traditional hangi or bathe in rejuvenating pools of mud! Sample world-class wine and superb seafood, trek through pure wilderness or sheer glacial peaks or learn ancient Maori crafts, at Tailor Made Travel we have the know-how and passion to plan the perfect New Zealand adventure, just for you.
